OTHER CHARACTERS Taylor Mills, Lisa Haymore and Dave Trimble (WGBS journalists around the world) Two unnamed dolphins (friends of Aquaman) COMMENTS The Hyperclan Watchtower unearthed in Antarctica is called Z'onn Z'orr and had been covered by the ice for millennia, the other two Watchtowers were built on site at superspeed. Batman's reflection can be seen in the crashed windshield of the Batplane. The Hyperclan dare not go near the flames. SYNOPSIS In full view of the world's assembled media the Hyperclan reveal three "Watchtowers" in Antarctica, the Gobi Desert and in the Pacific telling the world that they are splitting their forces between the bases in order to better cover the planet for emergencies. Meanwhile the League fail to detect the point of origin of the Hyperclan mind control signal. Using normal procedures the League split their forces three ways. Wonder Woman and Aquaman investigate the Pacific Watchtower and after a battle are captured by Fluxus and Tronix. Green Lantern and the Flash tackle and for the moment hold their own against Zum, Armek and Zenturion in the Gobi Desert. Batman and Superman investigate the Antarctic Watchtower where Protex uses Kryptonite to subdue Superman and the Batplane is seemingly destroyed by A-Mortal. Meanwhile the Martian Manhunter secretly meets with Protex who argues the case for the J'onn joining the Hyperclan. QUOTE "I don't have superspeed or invulnerability. I can't risk wearing a bright costume that makes me a target and I can't afford to trust poorly-trained people who do." - Batman to Superman. ![]() JLA, Related Icons and images are copyright DC Comics or their original creators/artists and are used without permission.
