AQUAMAN (Poseidon)

Brief: The son of an Atlantian Sorcerer he is the rightful Monarch of Atlantis and the Seven Seas.
Abilities: Adapted to underwater survival and operation he possess various telepathic powers due to his connection to the "clear".
Morrison Quote: "He's a basic one. Aquaman is king of the seas and lord of the oceans in a figurative and literal sense. I want to use him a lot more, so we'll see him in the Watchtower a lot more often as he becomes a major player in the league."

Brief: Dedicating his life to make sure that nobody has to end up an orphan like he did he is the ultimate human mind and the defender of Gotham City.
Abilities: Olympic level athlete, world class scientist, worlds greatest living detective to name but a few.
Morrison Quote: "He fills the role of the lord of the underworld. It allows us to keep him on Earth more, rather than on the Watchtower, which is in the 'heavens'. He's the dark god connected to the underworld."

Brief: The daughter of a mob boss she became a costumed hero to avenge his death. Tends to be more brutal and violent than the Batman.

Brief: The last survivor of the Martian civilisation he now defends his adopted home.

Morrison Quote: "He's not strictly on the team anymore. He'll be taking an advisory capacity. He wants to put more effort into becoming the superhero for the southern hemisphere, which is what's he's been becoming. I'd like to see him get a series of his own."

Brief: The daughter of Batman's greatest ally and the former Batgirl she now served as the information broker to the superhuman community.
Abilities: Excellent martial artist (even from her wheel chair) and computer expert.
Morrison Quote: "Oracle will be the League's non-active Earthbound computer link and telepathic backup, filling the role of the goddess of wisdom. I liked the idea of Oracle getting her hands on New Gods technology and seeing what she can do with that."
