In the Camelot two parter (JLA #16-17) we are treated to Grant Morrison's vision of the Justice League roster of twelve members plus the two New Gods. Now at the Captain's JLA Homepage we can reveal the results of our recent survey, almost a hundred fellows from both the Jonah Weiland JLA Message Board and the rac.dcu newsgroup voted via an on-line form choosing their favourite JLA members from a list of about one hundred and ten characters. Here then is the top twelve characters as voted: 1. Superman (all versions) 92 votes = 85 votes for normal + 7 for electric blue/red 2. Martian Manhunter 85 votes 3. Wonder Woman (Diana) 79 votes 4. Aquaman 78 votes 5. Batman 77 votes 6. Flash (Wally) 76 votes 7. Black Canary 55 votes 8. GL: Kyle Rayner 54 votes 9. Captain Marvel (Billy) 48 votes 10. Green Arrow (Conner) 46 votes 11. Atom (Ray Palmer, any age) 45 votes = 29 votes for adult + 16 for teenager 12. Firestorm (all versions) 44 votes = 40 votes for nuclear + 4 for elemental It is interesting to see just how far the first six are ahead of the rest being five of the main archetypes and the Martian Manhunter (further evidence that his own planned book should be a success). As the question of Green Lantern, the vote seems split into two camps fore Kyle Rayner and fore Hal Jordan, the combined vote would place Green Lantern amid the first six. As to the remaining five in the top twelve we can see that they are apart from Captain Marvel the direct successors of the original Justice League of the late Silver Age. The next twelve. 13. Plastic Man 43 votes 14. Hawkman (Karter Hol, 42 votes = 19 votes for pre-crisis + 16 for Hawk all versions) Avatar +7 for Hawkworld version 15. Zatanna 40 votes 16.
